DTC B1E09[04] Front Right TPMS Sensor Internal Circuit Failure (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. DTC B1E09[04] description

The tire air pressure sensor is an integrated structure with the air valve and installed to each tire. Each tire air pressure sensor has its own ID and the IDs for the 4 tires are registered in the wireless access module. The tire air pressure sensor sends the sensor ID, tire air pressure, tire temperature, wheel rotation status data, and sensor status data to the wireless access module through radio waves. The wireless access module monitors each tire air pressure based on the data received from the tire air pressure sensor. If the wireless access module detects an error in the right front tire air pressure sensor data, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1E09[04]

  • The wireless access module detects the data error from the right front tire air pressure sensor for an accumulated time of 9 minutes and 5 seconds or more while the vehicle is driven at a speed of 30 km/h {19 mph} or more.

3. Action taken when DTC B1E09[04] sets

  • The TPMS warning light illuminates after flashing for 63 seconds.
