DTC P0633 Immobilizer Key Not Programmed - ECM/PCM (4JJ3 without DPD)

1. DTC P0633 description

The EEPROM in the ECM stores the immobilizer security information in order to enable the engine to start by communication with the wireless access module. If the ECM detects that the immobilizer security information is not programmed in the ECM, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P0633

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The ECM detects that the immobilizer security information is not programmed.

3. Action taken when DTC P0633 sets

  • Euro4: The ECM does not illuminate the MIL or SVS indicator light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type D (Euro4).
  • Except Euro4: The ECM does not illuminate the check engine warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type D (Except Euro4).

  • The ECM inhibits engine startup.
