DTC P0568 Cruise Control Set Signal (4JJ3 with DPD)

1. DTC P0568 description

The cruise control maintains the vehicle speed at a speed set by a driver. When the cruise control main switch is turned ON, a signal is sent to the ECM, and the cruise control indicator light in the instrument panel cluster illuminates. When the cruise control set switch is applied, a switch signal is sent to the ECM, and the vehicle speed is set or the vehicle speed decreases. If the ECM detects that the cruise control set switch signal repeats ON and OFF or stays ON, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P0568

Condition for running the DTC

The battery voltage is 9 to 16 V.
The ignition switch is ON.
The engine is running.

Condition for setting the DTC

Any of the following are met:

The ECM detects that the cruise control set switch signal continuously repeats ON and OFF within a very short adjustment time.
The ECM detects that the cruise control set switch signal stays at the ON position (low voltage) for 120 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC P0568 sets

The ECM illuminates the SVS indicator light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type C.

The ECM inhibits the cruise control.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P0568
