DTC P1606 ECM Internal IC Failure (4JJ3 with DPD)

1. DTC P1606 description

This diagnosis applies to the IC inside the ECM.

2. Condition for setting DTC P1606

Condition for running the DTC

  • The battery voltage is 9 to 16 V.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The ECM detects an internal IC malfunction.

3. Action taken when DTC P1606 sets

  • The ECM illuminates the SVS indicator light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type C.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P1606

  • Refer to Condition for clearing the SVS indicator light/DTC - Type C.
