DTC U2300 Immobilizer Ignition Line Off (4JJ3 with DPD)

1. DTC U2300 description

When the ignition switch is turned ON, the wireless access module begins the transponder key authentication via the antenna coil in the steering lock section. The ECM sends a request signal to the wireless access module. The ECM receives a response signal from the wireless access module. If the wireless access module cannot detect the ignition switch ON signal, the transponder key authentication cannot be possible. If the ECM receives a response signal which cannot be detected from the wireless access module, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U2300

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The ECM detects that the key authentication cannot be done because the wireless access module cannot detect the ignition switch ON signal.

3. Action taken when DTC U2300 sets

  • The ECM does not illuminate the MIL or SVS indicator light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type D.

  • The ECM inhibits engine startup.
