DTC P0562 (Flash Code 72) System Voltage Low (AWR6B45)

1. DTC P0562 description

The TCM monitors whether the battery voltage is within the normal range. If the TCM detects that the battery voltage is low, the DTC is set. Also, when there is a malfunction in the charging system, the generator warning light illuminates.

2. Condition for setting DTC P0562

Condition for running the DTC

Any of the following conditions are met:

Condition 1

2 seconds or more have passed with the input speed of 1,000 rpm or more.
DTCs P0715 and P0717 are not set.

Condition 2

2 seconds or more have passed with the engine speed of 1,000 rpm or more.
DTCs U0073 and U0100 are not set.

Condition for setting the DTC

The TCM detects that the battery voltage is less than 9 V for 60 second or more.

3. Action taken when DTC P0562 sets

The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type A.

The TCM inhibits the shift timing control.
The TCM inhibits the lock-up timing control.
The TCM inhibits the slip lock-up control.
The TCM inhibits the garage control.
The TCM inhibits the self-learning control.
The TCM inhibits the engine torque control.
The TCM inhibits the skip gear shift control.
All the solenoids are turned OFF.
If the DTC is set in the reverse gear, the gear is shifted to neutral.
If the DTC is set in the D range, the gear is fixed to 5th.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P0562

Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.
