DTC U0100[00] Lost Communications with ECM (4WD models)

1. DTC U0100[00] description

The TCCM and the ECM communicate the control information and the diagnosis information via CAN communication. The TCCM monitors the CAN operational status by expecting a constant message flow from each module. If the TCCM fails to receive an expected message, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0100[00]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition voltage is 10 to 16 V.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The TCCM detects that the CAN Bus messages from the ECM are not being received for 3 seconds.

3. Action taken when DTC U0100[00] sets

  • The TCCM illuminates the check 4WD warning light when the diagnostic runs and fails.
  • The TCCM assumes a default engine speed value.
  • The TCCM assumes a default vehicle speed value.
  • The TCCM controls the system, assuming that the vehicle is in gear.
  • The TCCM controls the system, assuming that the clutch SW is OFF.
