1. DTC P2764 description
Lock-up control solenoid (SLU) is installed on the valve body assembly and adjusts the lock-up clutch oil pressure. The TCM controls lock-up control solenoid (SLU) based on the engine speed, throttle opening position, turbine speed sensor signal, output speed sensor signal, etc. The TCM detects the energized state of lock-up control solenoid (SLU) based on the current of the high-side control circuit and low-side control circuit of lock-up control solenoid (SLU). If the lock-up control solenoid (SLU) circuit current is too low, the TCM determines this is due to an open circuit or a short to the ground circuit, and the DTC is set.
2. Condition for setting DTC P2764
Condition for running the DTC
- The ignition switch is ON.
- The battery voltage is 9.0 to 16.0 V.
Condition for setting the DTC
- The TCM detects an open circuit or a short to ground in the lock-up control solenoid (SLU) circuit.
3. Action taken when DTC P2764 sets
- The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type A.
Refer to "55.Transmission Control 5A.Troubleshooting(AWR6B45) DTC type definitions".
- The TCM inhibits the shift timing control.
- The TCM inhibits the lock-up timing control.
- The TCM inhibits the slip lock-up control.
- The TCM inhibits the garage control.
- The TCM inhibits the self-learning control.
- The TCM inhibits the engine torque control.
- The TCM inhibits the skip gear shift control.
- If the DTC is set in the reverse gear, the gear is restricted to neutral or reverse.
- If the DTC is set in the D range, the gear is restricted to 5th or reverse.
4. Condition for clearing DTC P2764
- Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.
Refer to "55.Transmission Control 5A.Troubleshooting(AWR6B45) DTC type definitions".
