DTC U0102[00] Lost Communications with Transfer Motor Actuator Unit (4WD models)

1. DTC U0102[00] description

The TCCM communicates with the transfer actuator and executes transfer control. The TCCM sends a request signal to the transfer actuator. The TCCM receives a response signal from the transfer actuator. Both communication signals are sent and received via the CAN communication circuit. If the TCCM receives an incorrect response signal from the transfer actuator, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0102[00]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition voltage is 10 to 16 V.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The TCCM detects that the CAN messages from the transfer actuator are not received for 3 seconds.

3. Action taken when DTC U0102[00] sets

  • The TCCM illuminates the check 4WD warning light when the diagnostic runs and fails.
  • If the DTC is set while the shift-on-the-fly actuator is stopped, the TCCM maintains the stop status of the shift-on-the-fly actuator.
  • If the DTC is set while the shift-on-the-fly actuator is driven, the TCCM continues the drive control until the conditions for stopping the shift-on-the-fly actuator drive are met.
  • The TCCM inhibits switching between 2WD and 4WD and between 4H and 4L.
