DTC B1089[41] EEPROM Checksum Failure (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. DTC B1089[41] description

This diagnosis is performed on the microprocessor inside the wireless access module.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1089[41]

  • The wireless access module detects EEPROM check sum errors.

3. Action taken when DTC B1089[41] sets

  • The wireless access module stops authentication of the electronic key or ECM.

When the engine start/stop button is pressed:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • CHECK SYSTEM will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The buzzer built into the instrument panel cluster will sound for 10 seconds.

When the power mode is ON:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates.

When door locking/unlocking is requested:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • CHECK SYSTEM will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The external buzzer will sound for 10 seconds.
