DTC B1E08[13] Immobilizer Coil Circuit Open (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. DTC B1E08[13] description

If starting the engine becomes impossible for some reason (drained electronic key battery, etc.), use the transponder built into the electronic key and perform the immobilizer authentication with the wireless access module. The immobilizer coil is built into the engine start/stop button. When the engine start/stop button is pressed, the immobilizer coil is energized through the wireless access module, and the immobilizer authentication is performed by placing the electronic key close to the engine start/stop button. If the wireless access module detects an open circuit in the immobilizer coil circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1E08[13]

  • The wireless access module detects an open circuit in the immobilizer coil circuit.

3. Action taken when DTC B1E08[13] sets

When the engine start/stop button is pressed:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • The engine start/stop button indicator light (amber) flashes for 10 seconds.
  • CHECK SYSTEM will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The buzzer built into the instrument panel cluster will sound 3 times.

When the power mode is ON and there is a current failure:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates.

When door locking/unlocking is requested:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • The engine start/stop button indicator light (amber) flashes for 10 seconds.
  • CHECK SYSTEM will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The external buzzer will sound for 3 seconds.
