DTC P0777 (Flash Code 57) Pressure Control Solenoid B (SL2) Stuck On (AWR6B45)

1. DTC P0777 description

Clutch control solenoid (SL2) is installed on the valve body assembly and adjusts the C2 clutch control oil pressure. The TCM controls clutch control solenoid (SL2) based on the information of the vehicle speed, accelerator opening position, brake signals, etc. If the TCM detects that clutch (C2) remains operated even though clutch (C2) controlled by clutch control solenoid (SL2) is commanded to disengage, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P0777

Condition for running the DTC

  • The vehicle is running in the D range.
  • The current gear position is 1st.
  • The input speed is 4,000 rpm or less.
  • The output speed is 60 rpm or more.
  • DTCs P0715, P0717, P0720, and P0722 are not set.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The TCM detects that clutch (C2) remains operated even though clutch (C2) controlled by clutch control solenoid (SL2) is commanded to disengage.

3. Action taken when DTC P0777 sets

  • The TCM flashes the check trans warning light on the second driving cycle. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type B.

  • The gear is shifted to 4th, 5th, or 6th.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P0777

  • Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.
