DTC P0797 (Flash Code 58) Pressure Control Solenoid C (SL3) Stuck On (AWR6B45)

1. DTC P0797 description

Clutch control solenoid (SL3) is installed on the valve body assembly and adjusts the brake (B2) control oil pressure. The TCM controls clutch control solenoid (SL3) based on the information of the vehicle speed, accelerator opening position, brake signal, etc. If the TCM detects that brake (B2) remains operated even though brake (B2) controlled by clutch control solenoid (SL3) is commanded to disengage, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P0797

Condition for running the DTC

  • The vehicle is running in the D range.
  • The current gear position is 1st.
  • The input speed is 4,000 rpm or less.
  • The output speed is 60 rpm or more.
  • DTCs P0715, P0717, P0720, and P0722 are not set.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The TCM detects that brake (B2) remains operated even though brake (B2) controlled by clutch control solenoid (SL3) is commanded to disengage.

3. Action taken when DTC P0797 sets

  • The TCM flashes the check trans warning light on the second driving cycle. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type B.

  • The gear is shifted to 2nd or 6th.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P0797

  • Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.
