DTC B1053[23] SRS-PWM (Low) Communication Malfunction (eCall unit)

1. DTC B1053[23] description

The eCall unit receives deployment signals from the SRS control unit via the deployment signal circuit. When the eCall unit receives deployment signals, it activates the emergency call system. If the eCall unit detects a malfunction in the deployment signals received from the SRS control unit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1053[23]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The eCall unit detects a malfunction (Lo fixed) in the deployment signals received from the SRS control unit via the deployment signal circuit.

3. Action taken when DTC B1053[23] sets

  • The indicator light (red) illuminates.
  • An alarm sounds from the speaker.
  • Current and past failures are set.
