DTC B1725[11] Speaker Microphone Connection Malfunction (Ground Short Error) (eCall unit)

1. DTC B1725[11] description

The microphone and speaker are integrated into the speaker microphone and is installed in the overhead console. When the emergency call system is activated, a voice call can be made between the emergency call center operator and the occupant via the speaker microphone. If there is no response from the occupant, the operator immediately dispatches an emergency service for rescue. If the eCall unit detects a malfunction in the speaker microphone power supply circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1725[11]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The eCall unit detects a short to ground in the speaker microphone power supply circuit.

3. Action taken when DTC B1725[11] sets

  • The indicator light (red) illuminates.
  • An alarm sounds from the speaker.
  • Current and past failures are set.
