DTC B1E24[12] MUTE Signal Connection Malfunction (Power Supply Short Error) (eCall unit)

1. DTC B1E24[12] description

The MUTE output circuit is connected between the eCall unit and the audio. When the emergency call system is activated, the eCall unit sends a mute signal to the audio via the MUTE output circuit so that the voice call between the emergency call center operator and the occupant is not interrupted. If the eCall unit detects a malfunction in the MUTE output circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1E24[12]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The eCall unit detects a short to the power supply in the MUTE output circuit.

3. Action taken when DTC B1E24[12] sets

  • The indicator light (red) illuminates.
  • An alarm sounds from the speaker.
  • Current and past failures are set.
