1. DTC C1729[12] description
The BCM controls the headlight output circuit according to the signal input from the light control switch and illuminates the headlight. If the BCM detects a malfunction in the headlight (left) high beam output circuit, the DTC is set.
2. Condition for setting DTC C1729[12]
Condition for running the DTC
- The BCM commands the headlight (left) high beam OFF.
Condition for setting the DTC
- The BCM detects a short to the power supply in the headlight (left) high beam output circuit for 2.5 seconds or more.
3. Action taken when DTC C1729[12] sets
- For models with LED headlights, the LED headlight warning light illuminates.
- For models with MID, LH Headlight failure is displayed.
- The output of the headlight (left) high beam is turned ON regardless of the input light control switch signal.
- Current and past failures are set.
