DTC U1851[86] CAN Communication or Input Data Malfunction With SRS Control Unit (BCM)

1. DTC U1851[86] description

The BCM communicates the control information with the SRS control unit via the CAN communication circuit. If the BCM cannot receive the control information sent from the SRS control unit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U1851[86]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The BCM detects that the control information sent from the SRS control unit cannot be received for 3 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC U1851[86] sets

  • Current and past failures are set.
