DTC B1709[13] Interior Light Output Circuit Open (BCM)

1. DTC B1709[13] description

Note

  • Normally, the ambient light is not equipped.
  • If the BCM detects that the setting value of the ambient light by programming and the actual connection status of the ambient light circuit do not match, this DTC is set.

The BCM controls the ambient light. When any of the doors is open, or when there is a request from the keyless entry function, the BCM illuminates each light. If the BCM detects a malfunction in the ambient light output circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1709[13]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The BCM commands the ambient light OFF.

Condition for setting the DTC

Any of the following conditions are met:

  • The BCM detects a short to the power supply in the ambient light output circuit for 2.5 seconds or more.
  • The BCM detects an overloading to the ambient light output circuit for 2 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC B1709[12] sets

  • The output of the ambient light is stopped.
  • Current and past failures are set.
