1. DTC B110E[A2] description
The rain and light sensor is a sensor that combines the rain sensor function and light sensor function. The rains sensor is used for the automatic wiper function, and the light sensor is used for the automatic headlight function. The sensor has the following circuits.
- Ignition power supply circuit
- LIN communication circuit
- Low reference circuit
The rain and light sensor sends a sensor status to the BCM via the LIN communication circuit. When the BCM detects a low voltage in the ignition power supply circuit based on the sensor status received from the rain and light sensor, the DTC is set.
2. Condition for setting DTC B110E[A2]
Condition for running the DTC
- The ignition switch is ON.
Condition for setting the DTC
- The BCM detects a low voltage in the ignition power supply circuit for 3 seconds or more based on the sensor status received from the rain and light sensor.
3. Action taken when DTC B110E[A2] sets
- If the light control switch is in the AUTO position, the headlight (low beam) illuminates.
- If a malfunction is detected during the automatic wiper operation, the wiper is continuously controlled with the wiper request sent before the malfunction is detected.
- If the ignition switch is turned OFF or if the windshield wiper switch is set to the AUTO position again after a malfunction is detected during the automatic wiper operation, the wiper is intermittently controlled.
- Current and past failures are set.
