DTC U1821[86] Lost Communication With EHCU (BCM)

1. DTC U1821[86] description

The BCM communicates the control information with the EHCU via the CAN communication circuit. If the BCM cannot receive the control information sent from the EHCU, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U1821[86]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The BCM detects that the control information sent from the EHCU cannot be received for 3 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC U1821[86] sets

  • Current and past failures are set.
