DTC U0046[88] CAN Communication System Error (Differential Lock)

1. DTC U0046[88] description

The rear differential lock control unit communicates the control information and diagnostic information via the CAN communication circuit. If the rear differential lock control unit detects a malfunction in the CAN communication circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0046[88]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The rear differential lock control unit detects that CAN messages are not received.

3. Action taken when DTC U0046[88] sets

  • The rear differential lock control unit turns ON the rear differential lock failure warning light.
  • The rear differential lock control unit stops controlling the differential lock control.
