1. DTC P1A03[9F] description
The differential lock position switch is installed to the differential carrier. The switch closes when the differential is locked, and then the switch signal is input to the rear differential lock control unit. The rear differential lock control unit sets the DTC if the differential lock position switch is detected as being OFF (open) even though the differential is determined to be locked based on the rear wheel speed input.
2. Condition for setting DTC P1A03[9F]
Condition for running the DTC
- The ignition switch is ON.
- The vehicle is running.
- The differential lock position switch is OFF.
Condition for setting the DTC
- The rear differential lock control unit detects that the difference between the right and left rear wheel speeds is 1.5 km/h {0.9 MPH} or less for 60 seconds or more.
3. Action taken when DTC P1A03[9F] sets
- The rear differential lock control unit turns ON the rear differential lock failure warning light.
- The rear differential lock control unit stops controlling the differential lock control.
