DTC U0140[00] Lost Communication With BCM (Parking Aid)

1. DTC U0140[00] description

The parking aid system control unit communicates the control information with the BCM via the CAN communication circuit. If the parking aid system control unit cannot receive the control information sent from the BCM, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0140[00]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The parking aid system control unit detects that the control information sent from the BCM cannot be received for 2 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC U0140[00] sets

  • The obstacle detection function is deactivated.
  • The master warning light illuminates.
  • The parking aid system OFF indicator light illuminates.
  • Current and past failures are set.
