DTC C1117[11] Parking Aid Rear Sensor Internal Supply - Circuit Short to Ground (Parking Aid)

1. DTC C1117[11] description

The rear bumper and front bumper (models with front sonar sensors) have 4 sonar sensors each. The sonar sensors measure the distance from an obstacle and send it to the parking aid system control unit. The parking aid system control unit determines the distance from an obstacle based on the signals received from the sonar sensors. If the parking aid system control unit detects a malfunction in the rear sonar sensor power supply circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC C1117[11]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.
  • The shift lever is in the R position.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The parking aid system control unit detects that the rear sonar sensor power supply voltage is less than 4.5 V for 1 second or more.

3. Action taken when DTC C1117[11] sets

  • The obstacle detection function is deactivated.
  • The master warning light illuminates.
  • The parking aid system OFF indicator light illuminates.
  • Current and past failures are set.
