DTC C111A[07] Parking Aid Rear Inner Right Sonar Sensor - Element Failure (Parking Aid)

1. DTC C111A[07] description

The rear bumper and front bumper (models with front sonar sensors) have 4 sonar sensors each. The sonar sensors measure the distance from an obstacle and send it to the parking aid system control unit. The parking aid system control unit determines the distance from an obstacle based on the signals received from the sonar sensors. If the parking aid system control unit detects a malfunction in the rear inner right sonar sensor, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC C111A[07]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.
  • The shift lever is in the R position.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The parking aid system control unit detects an internal malfunction of the rear inner right sonar sensor.

3. Action taken when DTC C111A[07] sets

  • The obstacle detection function is deactivated.
  • The master warning light illuminates.
  • The parking aid system OFF indicator light illuminates.
  • Current and past failures are set.
