DTC C1112[01] Parking Aid Front Outer Left Sonar Sensor - Communication Impossible (Parking Aid)

1. DTC C1112[01] description

The rear bumper and front bumper (models with front sonar sensors) have 4 sonar sensors each. The sonar sensors measure the distance from an obstacle and send it to the parking aid system control unit. The parking aid system control unit determines the distance from an obstacle based on the signals received from the sonar sensors. If the parking aid system control unit detects a malfunction in the front outer left sonar sensor signal circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC C1112[01]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.
  • The shift lever is in a position other than the neutral position (manual transmission models).
  • The shift lever is in the D or R position (automatic transmission models).
  • DTCs C1110[11], C1112[11], and C1112[12] are not set.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The parking aid system control unit detects an open circuit in the front outer left sonar sensor signal circuit for 1 second or more.

3. Action taken when DTC C1112[01] sets

  • The obstacle detection function is deactivated.
  • The master warning light illuminates.
  • The parking aid system OFF indicator light illuminates.
  • Current and past failures are set.
