DTC U0140[00] BCM Signal Timeout (Radar Sensor (Left))

1. DTC U0140[00] description

The radar sensor (Left) communicates the control information with the BCM via the Chassis CAN communication circuit, central gateway control unit, and Body CAN communication circuit. If the radar sensor (Left) cannot obtain the control information sent from the BCM, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0140[00]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition voltage is 10.0 to 16.0 V.
  • 5 seconds or more have passed with the ignition switch ON.
  • DTC U0055[88] is not set.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The radar sensor (Left) detects that the control information sent from the BCM cannot be obtained.

3. Action taken when DTC U0140[00] sets

  • The BSM OFF indicator light illuminates.
  • The master warning indicator light illuminates (if the blind spot indicator illumination signal, blind spot indicator OFF signal, and blind spot indicator flashing signal sent from the BCM cannot be obtained)
  • The Radar failure is displayed on the Multi-Information Display (if the blind spot indicator illumination signal, blind spot indicator OFF signal, and blind spot indicator flashing signal sent from the BCM cannot be obtained).
  • All of the functions are deactivated.
