1. DTC C0040[81] description
The headlight auto leveling control unit receives stoplight switch signals from the ECM via the CAN communication circuit. If the headlight auto leveling control unit detects an error in the stoplight switch data received from the ECM, the DTC is set.
2. Condition for setting DTC C0040[81]
Condition for running the DTC
- The ignition switch is ON.
Condition for setting the DTC
- The headlight auto leveling control unit detects an error in the stoplight switch data received from the ECM for 2 seconds or more.
3. Action taken when DTC C0040[81] sets
- The headlight leveling actuator drive is stopped.
- The headlight automatic leveling warning light illuminates.
