DTC P2534 (Flash Code 73) Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit Low (AWR6B45)

1. DTC P2534 description

The TCM monitors whether the ignition voltage is within the normal range. If the TCM detects that the ignition voltage is low, the DTC is set. Also, when there is a malfunction in the charging system, the generator warning light illuminates.

2. Condition for setting DTC P2534

Condition for running the DTC

The ignition switch is ON.
The battery voltage is 9.0 to 16.0 V.

Any of the following conditions are met:

Condition 1

Refer to "55.Transmission Control 5A.Troubleshooting(AWR6B45) DTC P0715 (Flash Code 14) Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit".

Refer to "55.Transmission Control 5A.Troubleshooting(AWR6B45) DTC P0717 (Flash Code 14) Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal".

2 seconds or more have passed with the input speed of 1,000 rpm or more.
DTCs P0715 and P0717 are not set.

Condition 2

2 seconds or more have passed with the engine speed of 1,000 rpm or more.
DTCs U0073 and U0100 are not set.

Condition for setting the DTC

The TCM detects that the ignition voltage is less than 9 V for 20 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC P2534 sets

The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type A.

The TCM inhibits the lock-up timing control.
The TCM inhibits the slip lock-up control.
The TCM inhibits the garage control.
The TCM inhibits the self-learning control.
The TCM inhibits the engine torque control.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P2534

Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.
