DTC B1E07[61] Transponder Secret Key Mismatch (Wireless Access Module (Mid-version/Lo-version [Except Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. DTC B1E07[61] description

The wireless access module stores the security code for immobilizer authentication, secret key information, and transponder information. When the ignition switch is turned ON, the wireless access module starts transponder authentication via the immobilizer coil. When the wireless access module transmits a signal, the transponder must send back a specific response signal. During transponder authentication, if the wireless access module detects that the secret key of the transponder and the secret key registered in the wireless access module for immobilizer authentication do not match, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1E07[61]

Condition for running the DTC

  • Models with immobilizer function
  • The ignition switch is ON.
  • When authenticating with a transponder

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The wireless access module detects that the secret key of the transponder and the secret key registered in the wireless access module for immobilizer authentication do not match.

3. Action taken when DTC B1E07[61] sets

  • If this DTC is set before the engine is started, the engine cannot be started.

When the ignition switch is ON:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates.
