The wireless access module stores the security code for immobilizer authentication, secret key information, and transponder information. When the ignition switch is turned ON, the wireless access module starts transponder authentication via the immobilizer coil. When the wireless access module transmits a signal, the transponder must send back a specific response signal. During transponder authentication, if the wireless access module detects that the secret key of the transponder and the secret key registered in the wireless access module for immobilizer authentication do not match, the DTC is set.
