DTC U0140[00] (Flash Code 33) Lost Communication With BCM (Headlight Automatic Leveling Control)

1. DTC U0140[00] description

The headlight auto leveling control unit communicates the control information with the BCM via the CAN communication circuit. If the headlight auto leveling control unit cannot receive the control information from the BCM, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0140[00]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The headlight auto leveling control unit detects that the control information cannot be received from the BCM for 2 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC U0140[00] sets

  • The headlight leveling actuator drive is stopped.
  • The headlight automatic leveling warning light illuminates.
