DTC U0100[00] Lost Communication With ECM (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. DTC U0100[00] description

The wireless access module and ECM communicate the control information and diagnosis information via the CAN communication circuit. The wireless access module monitors the CAN operational status by expecting a constant message flow from the ECM. If the wireless access module fails to receive messages from the ECM, the DTC is set.

Note

  • Although this DTC is set, the engine can be started using emergency starting.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0100[00]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The power mode is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The wireless access module detects that CAN Bus messages from the ECM are not received for 5 seconds.

3. Action taken when DTC U0100[00] sets

When the engine start/stop button is pressed:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • CHECK SYSTEM will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The buzzer built into the instrument panel cluster will sound 3 times.

When the power mode is ON and there is a current failure:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates.

When door locking/unlocking is requested:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • CHECK SYSTEM will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The external buzzer will sound for 3 seconds.
