1. DTC P072A description
The clutch control solenoid (SL1, SL2, SL3, SL4) is installed on the valve body assembly. The TCM operates each clutch control solenoid, and controls the oil pressure to the clutch and brake to perform shifting from 1st to 6th. If the TCM detects a hydraulic system malfunction when the D range is selected, the DTC is set.
2. Condition for setting DTC P072A
Condition for running the DTC
- The ignition switch is ON.
- The ignition voltage is 9.0 to 16.0 V.
- The output speed is 500 rpm or less.
- The current gear position is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th.
- DTCs P0711, P0712, P0713, U0073, and U0100 are not set.

Condition for setting the DTC
Any of the following conditions are met:
- During vehicle start-up, the difference between the engine speed and the input speed is less than 150 rpm.
- The TCM detects that the gear is in the D range and in neutral.
3. Action taken when DTC P072A sets
- The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type C.
