1. DTC B1E08[13] description
The immobilizer coil is built in the steering lock and is installed on the outer circumference section of the key lock cylinder. The immobilizer coil also supplies power to the transponder via radio waves when the wireless access module is performing authentication of the transponder. If the wireless access module detects an open circuit in the immobilizer coil circuit, the DTC is set.
2. Condition for setting DTC B1E08[13]
Condition for running the DTC
- Models with immobilizer function
- The ignition switch is ON.
Condition for setting the DTC
- The wireless access module detects an open circuit in the immobilizer coil circuit.
3. Action taken when DTC B1E08[13] sets
- If this DTC is set before the engine is started, the engine cannot be started.
When the ignition switch is ON:
- The key monitor warning light illuminates.
- CHECK SYSTEM is displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds (models with MID only).
When door locking/unlocking is requested:
- The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
- CHECK SYSTEM is displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds (models with MID only).
