1. DTC P1093 description
The ECM monitors the pressure in the fuel rail internal based on the FRP sensor signals. If the pressure is low, the ECM adjusts the operation of the PCV in the fuel supply pump and raises the fuel rail internal pressure. If a failure in the fuel supply to the fuel supply pump due to fuel leakage, fuel filter clogging, etc., or a malfunction in the fuel supply pump occurs, raising pressure in the fuel rail will become impossible. If the ECM detects that the actual fuel pressure is less than the desired fuel pressure, the DTC is set.
2. Condition for setting DTC P1093
Condition for running the DTC
- The battery voltage is 9 to 16 V.
- The engine speed is 1,200 rpm or more.
- The engine coolant temperature is -35°C {-31°F} or more.
- The intake air temperature is -40°C {-40°F} or more.
- The fuel temperature is 0°C {32°F} or more.
- DTCs P0192, P0193, P060B, P0651, P1267, and P228A are not set.

Condition for setting the DTC
- The ECM detects that the actual fuel rail pressure is less than the desired fuel rail pressure by 40 MPa {5,800 psi} or more for 5 seconds or more.
3. Action taken when DTC P1093 sets
- The ECM illuminates the MIL. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type B.
Refer to "51.Engine Control 1A.Troubleshooting(4JJ3 with DPD) DTC type definitions".
- The ECM inhibits the EGR control.
4. Condition for clearing DTC P1093
- Refer to Conditions for clearing the MIL/DTC - Type A or Type B.
Refer to "51.Engine Control 1A.Troubleshooting(4JJ3 with DPD) DTC type definitions".
