DTC P1A00[1D] Differential Lock Coil Circuit (Current Error) (Differential Lock)

1. DTC P1A00[1D] description

The differential lock coil is installed to the differential cage, and it engages/disengages the dog clutch. The rear differential lock control unit controls the differential lock coil based on vehicle speed, information from the rear differential lock switch and 4WD switch, etc. The rear differential lock control unit detects the energized state of the differential lock coil based on the current of the high-side control circuit and low-side control circuit of the differential lock coil. If the rear differential lock control unit detects an abnormal feedback current in the differential lock coil circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P1A00[1D]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.
  • The differential lock coil power supply voltage is 9 V or more, less than 16 V.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The rear differential lock control unit detects that the feedback current in the differential lock coil circuit is not within the predetermined range.

3. Action taken when DTC P1A00[1D] sets

  • The rear differential lock control unit turns ON the rear differential lock failure warning light.
  • The rear differential lock control unit stops controlling the differential lock control.
