Diagnostic system check-stereo camera (Stereo Camera)

  • If there is no malfunction in the system, do not perform these diagnostic steps unless otherwise instructed in other sections.
  • Check for related Service Bulletins before starting the diagnosis.
  • Do not clear the DTC unless instructed to do so in a diagnostic step.
  • The battery should be fully charged.
  • The battery cable should be normal and securely connected.
  • The ground of the stereo camera should be connected to the correct position.
  • The stereo camera harness connector should be clean and correctly connected.
  • The stereo camera terminals should be clean and correctly connected.
  • Vehicle information should be programmed correctly in the stereo camera.
  • The stereo camera learning should be completed.

1. Scan tool power-up check

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Power up the scan tool. Does the scan tool power up?

Yes

=>Go to Central gateway control unit communication verification.

No

Go to Scan tool does not power up.

2. Central gateway control unit communication verification

1) Turn ON the ignition switch.

2) Verify communication with the central gateway control unit using the scan tool. Can communication with the central gateway control unit be established?

Yes

=>Go to Stereo camera communication verification.

No

Go to Lost communication with the central gateway control unit.

Refer to "64.Body Control 10I.Troubleshooting(Central GateWay) lost communication with the central gateway control unit".

=>Go to Stereo camera communication verification.

3. Stereo camera communication verification

1) Verify that communication can be established with the stereo camera using the scan tool. Can communication with the stereo camera be established?

Yes

=>Go to Current DTC check.

No

Go to Lost communication with the stereo camera.

Refer to "75.Driver Assistance System 10W.Troubleshooting(Stereo Camera) lost communication with the stereo camera".

4. Current DTC check

1) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

Go to the applicable DTC diagnosis.

No

=>Go to Other system DTC check.

5. Other system DTC check

1) Observe the DTC information for other systems with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

Go to the applicable DTC diagnosis.

No

=>Go to Stereo camera and windshield inspection.

6. Stereo camera and windshield inspection

1) Inspect the stereo camera for the following.

  • Stereo camera installation position change
  • Dirt on the stereo camera lens

2) Inspect the windshield for the following.

  • Stickers, etc., on the windshield in front of the stereo camera lens
  • Dirt on the windshield (inside/outside)
  • Glass coating agent on the windshield
  • Usage of a windshield other than the specified

3) Are all of the results normal?

Yes

=>Go to Repair verification.

No

Clean or notify the customer as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

7. Repair verification

1) Make sure there is no abnormal value on the scan tool data display.

2) Use a scan tool to confirm that a DTC has not been set.
