With Coolant Control Valve

Note

•  The coolant control valve position sensor is built into the coolant control valve. When replacing the coolant control valve position sensor, replace the coolant control valve.

PID/DATA monitor inspection

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

3.  Display PIDs ENG_CL_V_POS and ENG_CL_V_POS_R using the M-MDS. (See OBD ON-BOARD SYSTEM READINESS TEST [PCM (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5))].) (See PCM INSPECTION [WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)].)

4.  When the engine is started after switching the ignition ON (engine off), verify that the PID ENG_CL_V_POS_R value conforms to the PID ENG_CL_V_POS value.
