Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor No.1 Removal/Installation (Fuel Injector (2Pin Type))

Warning
•  A hot engine and exhaust system can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the exhaust system.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Remove the insulator. (See TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

4.  Disconnect the exhaust gas pressure sensor No.1 connector.

5.  Remove the bracket installation nut.

6.  Remove the bracket.

7.  Remove the bracket installation bolt and harness clip.

8.  Remove the bracket.

9.  Remove the exhaust gas pressure sensor No.1. (See Exhaust gas pressure sensor No.1 installation note.)

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.


Exhaust gas pressure sensor No.1 installation note

Caution
•  Verify that the clip is installed to the specified position as shown in figure, or it will cause exhaust gas leakage and damage to exhaust gas pressure sensor No.1.

1.  Install the exhaust gas pressure sensor No.1 shown in the figure.

Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor No.1 Removal/Installation (Fuel Injector (6Pin Type))

3.  Disconnect the exhaust gas pressure sensor No.1 connector.

4.  Remove the exhaust gas pressure sensor No.1.)

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.


Operation After Replacing Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor No.2

1.  If the exhaust gas pressure sensor No.2 is replaced, perform the following procedure.

8.  Perform operation after replacing exhaust gas pressure sensor No.2. (See Operation After Replacing Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor No.2.)

1.  Install the exhaust gas pressure sensor No.2 shown in the figure.

7.  Remove the exhaust gas pressure sensor No.2.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
