Purpose

• The side camera assures visibility at the left front side of the vehicle where direct, visual verification from the driver’s seat is not possible.

Functions

• The side camera sends a video signal to the parking assist unit (optical).

Guide line display

• The side camera shoots the conditions at the left front side of the vehicle in color, and after converting the video signal, it composes the distance reference lines on the image shot from the left front side of the vehicle.

Construction

• The side camera is located on the passenger side outer mirror.

• A super-wide angle lens which can shoot images in a wide parameter is assembled to the compact (1/3.6 in), color CMOS camera which has a high precision CMOS ^*1 imaging element.
