REAR SEAT CUSHION TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  When removing or putting in the rear seat cushion, contact with the surrounding areas of the vehicle could cause scratches and damage. When removing or putting in the rear seat cushion, always use two or more persons to perform the work and be careful not to scratch or damage the rear seat cushion and the surrounding area of the vehicle.

•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat cushion removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

Removal

6:4 Split Type

1.  Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Move the hook in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and remove the rear seat cushion trim from the rear seat cushion frame.

3.  Remove C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), and (4) shown in the figure, and remove the rear seat cushion trim from the rear seat cushion pad.

Caution

•  If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad, it may not be possible to install the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad normally. When removing or installing the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.

•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

4:2:4 Split Type

1.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear seat (See REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove the fasteners.

3.  Move the hook in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and remove the rear seat cushion trim from the rear seat cushion frame.

4.  Remove C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure, and remove the rear seat cushion trim from the rear seat cushion pad.

Caution

•  If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad, it may not be possible to install the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad normally. When removing or installing the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.

•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Installation

6:4 Split Type

1.  Align the rear seat cushion trim with the installation hole of the rear seat cushion pad, and install the C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), and (4) shown in the figure.

•  If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad, it may not be possible to install the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad normally. When removing or installing the rear seat cushion trim and rear seat cushion pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.

•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Note

•  Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.

2.  Press the rear seat cushion pad inward while pulling the rear seat cushion trim outward.

3.  Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and install the rear seat cushion trim to the rear seat cushion frame.

4.  Align the rear seat cushion trim with the shape of the rear seat cushion pad while pressing the rear seat cushion pad outward.

5.  Install the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4:2:4 Split Type

1.  Align the rear seat cushion trim with the installation hole of the rear seat cushion pad, and install the C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure.

•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Note

2.  Press the rear seat cushion pad inward while pulling the rear seat cushion trim outward.

3.  Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and install the rear seat cushion trim to the rear seat cushion frame.

4.  Install the fasteners.

5.  Align the rear seat cushion trim with the shape of the rear seat cushion pad while pressing the rear seat cushion pad outward.

6.  Install the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear seat (See REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
