REAR SEAT BACK LATCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Rear Seat Back Latch(LH,RH)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts.

When removing the rear seat back latch (LH)
1.  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2.  Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3.  Rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4.  Rear center seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5.  Head restraint
6.  Remote handle cable (With remote handle lever) (See REMOTE HANDLE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7.  Rear seat warmer control unit connector (With rear seat warmer system)
8.  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
9.  Rear seat back frame (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
When removing the rear seat back latch (RH)
1.  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2.  Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3.  Rear center seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4.  Head restraint
5.  Remote handle cable (With remote handle lever) (See REMOTE HANDLE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6.  Rear seat warmer control unit connector (With rear seat warmer system)
7.  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
8.  Rear seat back frame (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the screws.

4.  Disengage the tabs and remove the rear seat back latch cover.

5.  Disconnect the cable from the hook.

6.  Remove the rear seat back latch.

7.  Insert the screwdriver in the position shown in the figure.

8.  Remove the shaft.

9.  Remove the recliner lever.

10.  Remove the screws.

11.  Remove the rear seat belt guide base.

12.  Remove the bolts.

13.  Remove the rear seat back latch.

14.  Install in the reverse order of removal.


Rear Seat Back Latch(Center)

•  Rear seat back latch(center) is integrated into the rear seat back frame(center). For the rear seat back latch removal/installation, refer to the “REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION”. (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
