REAR SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution
•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat back removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

Rear Seat Back(LH,RH)


Removal

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts.

When removing the rear seat back trim (LH)
1.  Rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2.  Rear center seat belt lower anchor. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3.  Head restraint
When removing the rear seat back trim (RH)
1.  Head restraint

3.  Disconnect the remote handle cable. (With remote handle lever) (See REMOTE HANDLE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the trunk board. (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

5.  Remove the sub-trunk. (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

6.  Disconnect the rear seat warmer control unit connector. (With rear seat warmer control system)

7.  Remove the C-rings in the order shown in the figure and remove the rear seat back trim from the rear seat back pad.

Caution
•  If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Note
•  The position and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.

8.  Remove the rear seat trim.


Installation

1.  Align the rear seat back trim with the installation hole of the rear seat back pad and install the C-rings in the order shown in the figure.

Caution
•  If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Note
•  The position and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.
•  Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.

2.  Press the rear seat back pad inward while pulling the rear seat back trim outward.

3.  Align the rear seat back trim with the shape of the rear seat back pad while pressing the rear seat back pad outward.

4.  Install the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat back frame (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Head restraint

5.   Install the rear center seat belt anchor.(See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Install the rear seat cushion.(See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)


Rear Seat Back (Center)
