•  Remove the rear mount camera.
•  Inspect the connection of the rear mount camera connector (4-pin).
•  Disconnect the rear mount camera connector (4-pin).
•  Inspect both the rear mount camera and wiring harness-side connector for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
•  Are all the pins normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
If poor connection of rear mount camera connector:
•  Securely connect the rear mount camera connector.
If the rear mount camera connector is wrong:
•  Replace the rear mount camera.
If the wiring harness-side connector is wrong:
•  Repair or replace the pins and/or the connector.
4
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
•  Remove the audio unit (touch panel type).
•  Inspect the connection of the audio unit (touch panel type) connector (4-pin).
•  Disconnect the audio unit (touch panel type) connector (4-pin).
•  Inspect both the audio unit (touch panel type) connector terminal for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
•  Are all the pins normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
If poor connection of audio unit (touch panel type) connector:
•  Securely connect the audio unit (touch panel type) connector.
If the audio unit (touch panel type) connector is wrong:
•  Replace the audio unit (touch panel type).
If the wiring harness-side connector is wrong:
•  Repair or replace the pins and/or the connector.
5
•  Inspect the following wiring harnesses between the audio unit (touch panel type) and rear mount camera.
―  Terminal 3A (4-pin, B+)—terminal A (4-pin, B+)
―  Terminal 3B (4-pin, Power ground)—terminal B (4-pin, Power ground)
―  Terminal 3D (4-pin, Video ground)—terminal C (4-pin, Video ground)
―  Terminal 3C (4-pin, Camera in)—terminal D (4-pin, Camera out)
•  Is there open or short circuit?
Yes
Go to the next step.

•  Turn the ignition switch to ON.
•  Shift the selector lever in R range.
•  Inspect the voltage between the audio unit (touch panel type) terminals 1M (24-pin, R range signal) and 1W (24-pin, Power ground).
•  Is the voltage B+?
Yes
Replace the rear mount camera, then inspect generating of malfunction symptom.
Even if it exchanges rear mount camera, when a fault phenomenon occurs:
•  Replace the audio unit (touch panel type).
•  Reinspect the malfunction symptom, then repeat from Step 1 if malfunction recurs.
No
Inspect the suspect wiring harness (R range signal).
Repair or replace if necessary.
