Resistance inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Disconnect the fuel pressure relief valve connector. (See COMMON RAIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

4.  Inspect the resistance between fuel pressure relief valve terminals A and B.

Fuel pressure relief valve resistance (specification)
0.96—1.16 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the common rail. (See COMMON RAIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)
