Resistance inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Disconnect the EGR valve connector.

4.  Inspect the resistance between EGR valve terminals A and E.

EGR valve resistance (specification)
0.3—100 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the EGR valve. (See EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)
