HEATED STEERING WHEEL SWITCH INSPECTION

Type A

Note
•  The heated steering wheel switch are integrated into the cluster switch.
•  For the heated steering wheel switch removal/installation, refer to the cluster switch removal/installation. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the driver-side front scuff plate. (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the driver-side front side trim. (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the cluster switch. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Verify that the continuity between the heated steering wheel switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the cluster switch. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Apply battery positive voltage to cluster switch terminal N, and connect terminal M to ground.

7.  Verify that the LED illuminates.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the cluster switch. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)


Type B

Note
•  The heated steering wheel switch is integrated into the indicator unit.
•  For the heated steering wheel switch inspection, refer to the indicator unit inspection.
