Purpose

• The rear mount camera assures visibility at the rear of the vehicle where direct, visual verification from the driver’s seat is not possible.

Functions

• The rear mount camera sends a video signal to the connectivity master unit (CMU).

Guide line display

• The rear mount camera shoots the conditions at the rear of the vehicle in color, and after converting the video signal, it composes the distance reference lines and vehicle width extension lines on the image shot from the rear of the vehicle.

Construction

• The rear mount camera is located on the liftgate garnish.

• A super-wide angle lens which can shoot images in a wide parameter is assembled to the compact (1/3.6 in), color CMOS camera which has a high precision CMOS ^*1 imaging element.
