LIMIT SWITCH INSPECTION

Warning

•  Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the Workshop Manual before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated). (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].) 1.  Switch the ignition off (LOCK).

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Disconnect the limit switch.

4.  Inspect for continuity between the limit switch connector terminals using an ohmmeter.

•  If not as specified, replace the second-row seat. (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
